PSAT Information

Greetings, Students and Parents!

We are approaching the testing date for the PSAT 8/9 assessment.  I want to share some updates with you:

Also, this is a pressure-free way to start exploring your path to college and a future career.  The PSAT 8/9 helps students to:

  1. Recognize strengths.  Your personalized online PSAT 8/9 score report will include detailed information on your strengths and areas for growth.  It helps you lean into areas you are good at and identify places where you need to improve to be ready for college.
  2. Explore future careers.  Explore college majors and careers that align with your personal interests with Roadmap to Careers, a unique online tool created by Roadtrip Nation and the College Board. The tool connects you to potential careers based on the things they love, showing you where they can lead.
  3. Choose high school courses.  Knowing where you excel and what skills you should work on can help you choose other 9th- and 10th-grade classes. In addition, student score reports will suggest AP® courses that are a great match for you.  AP can help you expand your thinking and even earn college credit while in high school, which could save you time and money in college.

With warmest regards,

Kim Norwood, Ed.S

Assistant Principal
